1. THE SERVICE COLLECTS YOUR INFORMATION
We collect Personal Information when you:
- register to use the Service;
- log in with social networking credentials;
- use the Service; and
- communicate with us.
We also collect information, such as anonymous usage statistics, by using cookies, server logs, and other similar technology as you use the Service.
Personal Information Collection. To use the Service, you must download the App and register an account with DUFL. When you register this account, you will be required to provide us with certain Personal Information, such as your name, email address, billing address and credit card information.
Social Sign-On. We may collect Personal Information from a social media website when you use your social media credentials to log into the Service. For example, when you log into the Service with your Facebook credentials, we may collect the Personal Information you have made publicly available on Facebook, such as your name and photographs of you.
Using the Service. We will collect information you submit to DUFL through the Service, such as your travel destination and arrival date for each trip for which you use the Service. We will also photograph and inventory each item of your Luggage that you chose to store with DUFL. This means that we will photograph, record and store information about the color, size and brand of each item of your Luggage that is stored in your personal DUFL locker. Please note that we will also photograph and/or inventory any information about the toiletries you store in your personal DUFL locker as a precaution to ensure all items are accounted for. YOU MAY NOT INCLUDE IN YOUR DUFL BAG ANY PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION FOR STORAGE IN YOUR PERSONAL DUFL LOCKER. DUFL WILL IMMEDIATELY RETURN ANY SUCH ITEMS TO YOU AND YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE APPLICABLE DELIVERY FEE.
Making Payments. We collect Personal Information, such as your name, billing address and credit card information, so you may pay DUFL for the Service through the App.
Demographic Information. We collect certain demographic information in connection with your use of the Service, such as your age, gender and the hotels where you have stayed when using the Service.
Customer Support. We may collect certain Personal Information, such as your email address, when you communicate with our customer-support team.
Location Information from Your Mobile Device. If you have enabled location services on your mobile device, then we may collect and store your location information if you visit the Service. Collection of this information may improve the provision of the Service. If you do not want us to collect location information, then you can disable location services on your mobile device.
Cookies, Automatic Data Collection, and Related Technologies. The Service collects and stores information that is generated automatically as you use it, including your preferences and anonymous usage statistics.
When you visit the Service, we and our third-party Service providers receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, and from cookies and similar technology. Cookies are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Service. Please review your web browser “Help” file to learn the proper way to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept, cookies from the Service, you may not be able to utilize the features of the Service to their fullest potential. We use Google Analytics to collect and process data as described in this paragraph. Please refer to the Google Analytics website at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/ for additional information. You can opt out of this by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/ and installing the plug-in or through Ads Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps, or any other available means (for example, the NAI’s consumer opt-out).
By using the Service, you are authorizing us to gather, parse, and retain data related to the provision of the Service.
2. HOW DUFL USES YOUR INFORMATION
We use Personal Information to
- facilitate and improve our Service; and
- communicate with you.
We may use de-identified and aggregated information for any lawful purpose, including for marketing purposes.
Internal and Service-Related Usage. We use information, including Personal Information, for internal and Service-related purposes, and may provide it to third parties to allow us to facilitate the Service. We also may use and retain any information we collect to provide and improve our Service.
Product Sampling and Samples. We may use information, including Personal Information, (i) for product sampling purposes to determine what types of clothing you wear; and/or (ii) to include in your DUFL bag free articles of clothing, free offers, coupons, discounts cards or flyers that you may like (collectively, “Samples”).
Communications. We may send email to the email address you provide to us during the registration process (i) for operational purposes, such as for account management, customer service or system maintenance; (ii) to provide you with updates regarding the Service; and/or (iii) to notify you about Samples and for other marketing purposes.
Marketing. We may use aggregated and de-identified information about the Luggage you store in your personal DUFL locker to enable third party marketers to provide you with information about products that you may find useful, relevant or interesting.
Aggregate Data. We may de-identify and aggregate information collected through the Service and use it for any lawful purpose.
3. HOW DUFL MAY DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION
We may share your information:
- with our third-party Service providers;
- to comply with legal obligations;
- to protect and defend our rights and property; and
- with your permission.
We may share de-identified and aggregated information about you with third parties for their direct marketing purposes, although you may opt-out of this practice.
We Use Vendors and Service Providers. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of the Service. For example, we share Personal Information with the third party that processes payments you make through the App.
Social Networking and Other Websites. The Service may allow you to share information, including Personal Information, with social networking websites, such as Facebook. We do not share your Personal Information with these social networking sites unless you direct the Service to share your Personal Information. The use of your Personal Information by any social networking websites will be governed by their privacy policies, and you may be able to modify your privacy settings on their websites.
Marketing. We may share aggregated and de-identified information about the Luggage you store in your DUFL locker with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your Personal Information or other account information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to (i) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (ii) respond to your requests; or (iii) protect your, our or others’ rights, property, or safety.
Consent. We may also disclose your Personal Information with your permission.
3. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We’ll take appropriate physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. We do not accept liability for unintentional access, use or disclosure.
4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 and we do not want it. We will take steps to delete it if we learn we have collected it.
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of the Service is directed to children under the age of 13. If you learn that your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, then you may alert us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we learn that we have collected any Personal Information from children under 13, then we will promptly take steps to delete such information and terminate the child’s account.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the information you provide to us. If you do not want us to (i) photograph and inventory the Luggage you store in your personal DUFL locker; (ii) place Samples in your DUFL bag and/or send you emails about these Samples; and/or (iii) share aggregated and de-identified information about the Luggage you store in your personal DUFL locker with third parties for direct marketing purposes, then you can opt-out of some or all of these practices by emailing DUFL at email@example.com.
