Dufl is expanding its travel luggage service, a shipping service for golf clubs, skis, bicycles, snowboards and other luggage, to door-to-door baggage delivery.
The service allows travelers to avoid checking luggage at the airport while also preventing them from paying bag fees and waiting in long lines. The Duflapp is known for saving travelers three to five hours per round trip.
This new door-to-door service allows users to not have to build a virtual closet with the items stored at the Dufl warehouse. Users now just schedule a pickup, have their luggage ready at their doorstep, and it will be sent direct to the destination.
Dufl was named a “Best Travel App” by USA Today in 2015.
To get a quote, or to start shipping, from Dufl’s door-to-door service, customers can visit their website, enter origin and destination addresses, enter the desired arrival date and their types of items, and pay online.
Customers can then send personal luggage or equipment bags by printing one-way or round trip labels from their confirmation email then dropping the items off at a FedEx location, or requesting a FedEx pickup from a hotel or resort.
The customers’ items are covered against loss, theft or damage for up to $1,000 at no additional charge. Door-to-door transport ranges from the expedited overnight delivery, or in two- to five-day periods.
Before this new door-to-door service, Dufl delivered and picked up customers’ luggage from their hotel room.
