DUFL is changing business travel behavior by eliminating the need for frequent travelers to pack, do laundry and carry a bag to and from their destination. DUFL saves users between 3-5 hours of time preparing and managing their luggage per round-trip and is changing the way the world travels.

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to actively market DUFL services to both individual users as well as enterprise accounts. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. If you are motivated and results-driven- and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. Desired locations include Phoenix (corporate headquarters), New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle or San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Contact new DUFL registrations for larger opportunities within their businesses
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and executive team

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Some travel may be required

We are looking for an experienced International Shipping Representative to manage daily shipping and distribution of merchandise to various international locations.  You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, speed and legality of the daily shipment transactions. This role must be an expert in the compliance aspect of shipping with a thorough and sound understanding of U.S. and international customs, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate international shipment flow by coordinating with internal/external customers, transportation providers, government agencies and agents to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
  • Responsible for compliance issues that delay the clearance of goods and anticipating problems and resolving the situations.
  • for making sure that compliance procedures and Company policies are communicated and being followed to demonstrate reasonable care for all merchandise shipments.
  • Proactively identify and effectively communicate to senior management potential compliance risks.
  • Establish controls to meet regulatory changes and manage shipping document retention procedures.
  • Ensures products are properly described and the classification/duty rate is properly assigned according to the General Rules of Interpretation, the Explanatory Notes, U.S. Customs’ Informed Compliance publications, binding rulings, Anti-Dumping and/or Countervailing issued by Customs for similar items.
  • Responsible for internal import/export compliance with U.S. government laws and regulations including but not limited to, classification, valuation and making requirements.
  • Develop methods and procedures for maintaining compliance with U.S. government laws and regulations including, but not limited to, classification, valuation, and marking requirements.
  • Conduct research in the areas of trade compliance, risk assessment and new/existing court rulings to drive continuous improvement and to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of import/export compliance and attending appropriate seminars and/or compliance training.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of current Customer initiatives and regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general industry documentation/communications.
  • Analyzes and evaluates problem situations as they develop, and is resourceful in determining appropriate means of resolution in a timely manner.
  • Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be extremely detail and deadline oriented.
  • >Ability to work in a team environment as well as an ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Background Experience

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in a position directly related to shipping and import or export, with at least 5 years experience in business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, or Finance preferred
