Business Development Director- Phoenix

DUFL is a premium travel service that simplifies business travel by shipping, cleaning and storing your business attire. DUFL is changing business travel behavior by eliminating the need for frequent travelers to pack, do laundry and carry a bag to and from their destination. DUFL saves users between 3-5 hours of time preparing and managing their luggage per roundtrip and is disrupting the business travel industry.

DUFL is looking for a Business Development Director who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in sales, account management functions and the business travel industry (primarily enterprise, hotels and TMC’s). Responsibilities include selling company wide programs to business travelers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, hotels, and individual travel and wholesale groups. Duties include managing current accounts, ensuring proper solicitation of all business travel markets, and may include travel to major cities within market.

Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, presentations, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilization of technology such as Google Drive, Salesforce, and other sales management systems as appropriate. The Business Development Director will also participate and may lead event meetings and attend industry related and otherwise designated conferences and events. The Business Development Director also works as a team member with the sales and marketing staff, management, customer support and the warehouse team.

Business Development Director

    • Identify revenue opportunities through research, cold calling, networking
    • Develop and proactively build sales pipeline, manage and identify prospective contacts and prioritize opportunities
    • Develop and maintain relationships with enterprise accounts, hotel partnerships and Travel management company (TMC) programs and activities
    • Generate interest and create opportunities through excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Prepare deal overviews, presentations and contract summaries
    • Track and report on the status of all business proposals
    • Achieve sales goals each quarter.
    • Generate sales promotions, implement strategic planning for future development
    • Work closely with marketing in developing lead generation strategies and opportunities.
    • Engages in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations
    • Ability to work in start-up environment in a newly created space in the travel industry
    • Qualify potential business opportunities, providing advice and support
    • Keeps management informed of all activity including timely preparation of reports.

Qualifications

    • A true desire to work hard in a fast paced environment
    • Refined verbal and written communication skills
    • A minimum of 1-3 years in hospitality, enterprise or corporate travel management or related industry or comparable experience preferred
    • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and salesforce.com
    • Selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills
